UF Wins First Place in the Florida Water Environment Association (FWEA) Design Competition

Congratulations to the University of Florida team for winning first place in the Florida Water Environment Association (FWEA) Student Design Competition.

The competition is intended to promote “real world” design experience for students interested in pursuing an education and/or career in water engineering and sciences. This competition tasks teams of student members within FWEA to design and present a program meeting the requirements of a problem statement that they have worked on together as a team. This competition is intended for both undergraduate and graduate students, typically completing a capstone project.

The UF team will move on to the national competition at the Water Environment Federation’s Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference this October in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Special thank you to Dr. Sansalone in providing design guidance to our UF team.
