Dr. James Heaney to be awarded prestigious Warren A. Hall Medal from UCOWR

The Universities Council on Water Resources (UCOWR) will award Dr. James Heaney with the prestigious Warren A. Hall Medal for 2013.

The Warren A. Hall Medal is a memorial established by friends and family to recognize the distinctive scholarly accomplishments of an individual in the water resources field. The Medal will be awarded at UCOWR’s Awards Banquet on June 12, 2013, at Lake Tahoe, California.

The recipient of the Warren A. Hall Medal is recognized for his or her unusual accomplishments and distinction in the water resources field. The recipient should be an educator, devoted to the advancement of knowledge in water resources (through teaching, research, and/or public service) and with a strong commitment to the education and welfare of his or her students.

Dr. Warren A. Hall, known worldwide for his active involvement in water resources research and education, was one of the founders, in 1962, of the Universities Council on Water Resources.
