Mitch was born Rome, Italy, but lived the past 8 years in Gainesville, Florida. After pursuing a Master of Arts in Mass Communications at the University of Florida in 2019, he worked as the Communications Coordinator for the local non-profit Keep Alachua County Beautiful. In college Mitch was a 15-time all-American swimmer for the UF swim team. He swam for Italy at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and was a USA National Swim Team Member for the 2017-2020 seasons.
Creative director for the UFTI weekly newsletter, proposing story ideas and serving as the reporter and writer. Update design (such as themes and plugins), create content and monitor the UFTI and STRIDE websites, including assisting with the T2 and McTrans websites. Create, write, post, and monitor communications that promote the UFTI and its centers as related to research, education, technology transfer, and K-12/STEM activities. Serve as videographer and photograph.
