Awarded the Tom C. Evans Instructional Unit Award by the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE).  The paper, "New Trends and Context for Change in Engineering Education," was selected  as the best paper and was presented at the ASEE Southeastern Regional Conference, Gatlinburg, Tennessee, April 15, 1996.  The award amount was $500.00.

Honored by response of citizens from many countries around the world, including Hungary, Poland, Great Britain, etc., requesting copies of my radon paper published in the Health Physics Journal.

Awarded Outstanding Teacher Award, College of Engineering, University of Florida, 1995-96.

Honored by enactment by the 1995 Florida Legislature through HB 1647 of legislation based on the results of radon research project for which I was Principal Investigator, effective July 1, 1995.  The legislature adopted the Florida Standard for Passive Radon Resistant New Residential Building Construction as a building code.

Honored with Certificate of Appreciation for Judging the 1995 Science Fair, Howard Bishop Middle School, Gainesville, Florida, January 10, 1995.

Awarded a Fulbright Senior Scholar award by the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship in Qatar,

Received an award at the Engineering Fair Banquet and was recognized as a member of the North Central
Chapter of the Florida Engineering Society, Feb 12, 1993.

Awarded a Fulbright Senior Scholar position in Qatar for the 1993-94 academic year spending one academic year, September 1993 until June 1994, doing teaching/research at Qatar University, College of Engineering (also selected for 1992-93 in Indonesia but was unable to accept).

Became acting member of the Coordinating Committee of the UF Fulbright Alumni Association established by Florida Fulbright recipients, December 1992.

Honored, along with other Fulbright Scholars, with a dinner at the home of Dr. and Mrs. John V. Lombardi, President of the University of Florida and wife, Thursday, October 8, 1992.

Invited to visit USSR, Poland and Bulgaria, by the Dwight D. Eisenhower Foundation, a program of

Received Farrell Teaching Award, Villanova University, College of Engineering, 1983, as well as Honorable Mention for the same award in 1982.  (This is a prestigious award given once a term to an outstanding professor.)

Received Villanova University Research Award, (investigated the "Cross-Impact Analysis of Mid-County Expressway," which was published in the Institute of Transportation Engineering Journal, January, 1982, pp. 29-32), summers 1981/82.
